About

Description

New London fell in a matter of weeks. An automated weapons system at the DET-33 complex malfunctioned, the reactor breached, and the biochemical cloud that followed mutated everyone who couldn't afford the antidote. The city named the disaster after the complex. Decades later, four factions carve up the ruins, and all of them pay contractors in the one currency that matters: essence, the extract that keeps your own mutation at bay.

Most of them don't know who they're hiring. The complex had its own containment unit, Detachment 33, and it never stopped doing its job. It kept the name the city cursed, it keeps exactly thirty-three seats, and you want one. Which of the factions' wars you fight is up to you. The job underneath never changes: detect, extract, terminate.

DET-33 is a bullet-heaven roguelite where the gun is the build. Drop into a procedurally generated district, carve through the horde while your build comes online, kill what the mission demands, and reach the evac before the city closes over you.

Key features

  • A mission per run decides what winning means: a climax boss, an extraction, or an objective.
  • Eight map events and a freshly generated district every run.
  • Over 700 guns across 10 categories, upgraded mid-run with gun parts, skills and attachments.
  • Senergies: build engines whose pieces interlock, until one pick changes what the next one means.
  • A weekly op: one dealt run for every player, on standard issue, with one attempt and a Steam leaderboard.
  • Auto-fire and auto-aim by default, with manual aim when you want it. Normal through Extinction, then an Ascension ladder.
  • Built for Steam Deck at its native resolution, with full controller support and your real button glyphs.

Seeking rounds pour into a blast. A lightning ring discharges around a pack. Standing sniper beams across cobblestones. A beam cuts through an elite. An inferno zone of cracked lava. Glass shards and shatter rings. Orbiting bullets burst into a ring of fire. A giant round lands in a blackout. The Iron Colossus under giant rounds. A jackpot in a crowd. An airburst of shards. The Cryarch over frozen ground. Paradox Entity pylons in a forest. A winged boss over a field of black orbs. A turret kill box. The Storm Conductor among standing beams.
